This webinar will provide the greater zoo and captive wildlife communities with important information and updates regarding the ongoing Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) Outbreak.
Attendees will hear presentations on the current situation and response, species susceptibility and impacts to captive wildlife, strategies for protecting collections, and considerations for adapting to a “new normal” where the virus is more persistent within wild bird populations. Speakers include subject matter experts from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS), zoo and wildlife veterinarians, and more.
There will be a Q&A once presentations have concluded, and the audience will have opportunities to pre-submit questions during registration in addition to submitting live throughout the webinar.
This webinar is being recorded and will be made available for individuals unable to attend live within 30 days.
