Flu at the Zoo II
This exercise was developed based upon the Improvement Plan from Flu at the Zoo I, using a 2-part approach to address gaps noted in that tabletop exercise to further prepare the zoological community for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza. Flu at the Zoo II was delivered as a ‘virtual’ tabletop exercise.
Note: participating zoological professionals were given Incident Command System training before the exercise.
Flu at the Zoo I and II were tabletop exercises, designed to promote collaboration and understanding between the zoological industries, local, state, and federal government in matters of all-hazards preparedness and response.
Documentation from these Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) compliant exercises have been included below and may be used and adapted for individual facility use.
