NOAA Predicts Above-Normal Hurricane Season for 2022

On May 24, 2022, NOAA released its predictions for the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season. Forecasters at NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center, a division of the National Weather Service, are predicting above-average hurricane activity this year, making this the seventh consecutive above-normal season.

NOAA is forecasting a range of 14 to 21 named storms this season.
