Join Utah’s Hogle Zoo and ASAR Training for an Exotic Animal Technical Rescue Workshop on July 12th, 2022 at Utah’s Hogle Zoo!
The Exotic Animal Technical Rescue Workshop is a great introduction for exotic facility staff, zoo veterinarians, and fire department heavy rescue teams. Incidents that involve large exotic animals require special considerations and training. This workshop will demonstrate low angle rope rescue training with raising and lowering sling applications using HAST XXL equipment. This training is a great introduction for response team members for both in-house response teams and ride-out disaster response and support resources. This class is one day and can focus on one or multiple species applications. This training is limited to zoo or other exotic animal facility partner personnel.
This workshop will have optional participation that requires moderate lifting and pulling physical activity.
Participants will need to list the agency of affiliation at the time of registration. Hogle Zoo reserves the right to refuse registration to any individual. Space for this workshop is limited.
