Upcoming Changes

We are excited to announce that as of November 2020, we are rebranding as the Zoo and Aquarium All Hazards Partnership! While our overarching goals and mission will remain the same, this change seeks to acknowledge the incredible expertise and collaboration this community has contributed to advance preparedness in our field.

As the world continues to see widespread impacts from the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and compounding natural disasters, it is more important than ever that we work together to leverage the collective expertise of our field to protect the people and animals in our care, and continue the incredible conservation work done in our facilities.

What’s new?

One of the first changes you will notice is the establishment of an inaugural advisory council for this effort to improve transparency, promote greater collaboration at all levels of our industry, and ensure that this effort is adequately meeting the needs of the community served. We are currently in the process of finalizing this group, which will be made up of leaders and subject matter experts from across our industry.

We’ll also be launching a new website to create a better user experience and more effectively meet the needs of this community. A separate announcement will be sent out here once that site is officially ready for launch.

This effort has always been dedicated to serving the entire zoological community, and we are excited to introduce new opportunities for facilities, individuals, and organizations to get involved over the coming months!
