Funding for eligible facilities that cared for native endangered and threatened species March 2020 –
May 2021, and saw a decline in revenue due to COVID-19, is still available through a cooperative
agreement between the Association of Zoos & Aquariums and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Facilities do not have to be AZA-accredited or certified to be eligible to receive captive care reimbursements.
This is the second round of funding for this opportunity. Applications for funding must be submitted by 11:59pm Eastern Time on Monday, July 10, 2023.
