In conjunction with AZA mid-year the ZAHP Fusion Center worked with the AZA Safety Committee to present an overview of the nationally accepted Incident Command System (ICS), and a panel discussion of its use in zoological facilities. Participants were then given the opportunity to participate in a tabletop exercise and facilitated discussion of an incident that could occur within a zoological institution, with attention on how a response could be organized with ICS.
